Baghdad Film Festival Participation Requirements:
First: Feature Narrative Film Competition
- The film must be no less than 70 minutes long.
- It must be produced exclusively in 2023, 2024, or 2025.
- It must not have been shown on any online platform.
- If it is not in Arabic, the film must be subtitled into Arabic.
Second: Short Narrative Film
- The film must not exceed 25 minutes long.
- It must be produced exclusively in 2023, 2024, or 2025.
- It must not have been shown on any online platform.
- If it is not in Arabic, the film must be subtitled into Arabic.
Third: Feature-Length Short Documentary Film
- It must be produced exclusively in 2023, 2024, or 2025.
- It must not have been shown on any online platform.
- If it is not in Arabic, the film must be subtitled into Arabic.
Fourth: Feature and Short Animation Film Competition:
- The Must be produced exclusively in 2023, 2024, or 2025.
- Must not have been shown on any online platform.
- If the film is not in Arabic, it must be subtitled.
Note: Registration for the festival opens on July 1, 2025, and closes on August 1, 2025.
An annual film festival held in Baghdad-Iraq, established in 2023 and organized by the Iraqi Artists Syndicate.
Festival Sections
1- Long Arabic Narrative Film Competition
2- The Arabic Short Narrative Film Competition, which includes:
A- Narrative films
B- Animation films
C- Documentary films
3- Films produced by the festival
Participation Conditions:
1- The film must be in Arabic
2- The year of production should be 2022/2023 3- Short films of no more than 30 minutes
Festival Awards
Feature Narrative Competition
First prize 10,000 $
The second prize is $6,000
The third prize is $4,000
Short Film Competition
Best Narrative Short Film Prize: $5,000
The award for the best short documentary film is $5,000
Best Animation Film Award: $5,000
Lifetime Achievement Award: $5,000
